The 2019 BMJ Industry Awards is picking up speed; with companies across the sector submitting their entries to make they are in the running for a coveted accolade.

Organised by Datateam Business Media – publisher of Builders Merchants Journal – the awards launched to industry acclaim for providing a unique platform for the recognition of the very best talent that the builders’ merchants sector has to offer, with accolades specifically designed for merchants, brands and individual efforts.

Enthusiasm for the 2019 edition is high, as noted by BMJ editor-in-chief Fiona Russell-Horne: “We have already received an unprecedented number of entries and nominations for the upcoming awards.”

“It’s another opportunity for those that missed the deadline the first time around; a second chance for the incredible finalists that missed out on the top spot by such narrow margins and time for our inaugural winners to defend their titles!”

There are twenty four accolades up for contention – including three brand new awards that have been introduced to reflect the changing face of the builders’ merchants sector.

Brands and merchants alike are invited to submit an entry for the new Diversity Award, which will honour a company that has cultivated positive change through the conscious removal of bias and barriers and the implementation of initiatives.

Merchants have two additional opportunities to win, in the new Timber Merchant of the Year and Merchant Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom of the Year categories.
